I have a natural empathy with children and work instinctively as well as competently.

I have always known from a young age that I had wanted to work with children and have had many years working with them - through education as a teaching assistant and also as an activity leader at a holiday camp. Eventually I realised my real skills lay in working with troubled children on a one-to-one and group basis, so I trained specifically in Play Therapy, with the largest UK based organisation, PTUK. Finally I had found my talent and I realised how much this career could change the lives of so many children.

The course involved many hours of both practical and theoretical training. As a parent, carer, teacher or other worker you can be confident knowing that not only am I 100% professional, I also believe in working with a 100% human approach to your child and the problems that he or she may be experiencing. I hold a BSc honours degree in Psychology and Early Childhood studies from Oxford Brookes University.

I am a fully qualified play therapist, holding a postgraduate Diploma in Practise Based Play Therapy from the Academy of Play and Child Psychology - accredited by Play Therapy UK, which is run collaboratively with Canterbury Christchurch University.

I have over 400 hours of experience working therapeutically with children in school, child centres and other settings.
